WHY SHOULD I BUY FROM FRESCH ELECTRIC BIKES?
At Fresch electric bikes we service what we sell. We have carefully chosen only top manufacturers of Ebikes that have the best features available and are the best value for the dollar. We feature both pedal assist electric bikes (pedelec) and an electric bike throttle. Many other electric bike models do not have both. The range of our electric bikes is more than many others. We match the battery voltage to the electric bike motor wattage. We use 36V batteries on most electric bike models. A few electric bikes have 48V batteries. Most electric bike models use the lithium battery technology.
HOW DO PEDAL ASSIST AND THE THROTTLE WORK ON AN ELECTRIC BIKE?
Electric bike Pedal assist works automatically when you start pedaling. You do not have to switch it on. The electric bike motor will come on to assist you making pedaling really easy. You can also use the electric bike throttle whenever you want. When you use the throttle, you can cruise along without pedaling on flat ground. The throttle is especially important when riding your electric bike in hilly areas. By using both it makes hills easy. The electric bike motor and pedals are independent of each other so you can pedal as much or as little as you like. The more you pedal your electric bike, the longer the range.
If you want to use the electric bike without power, just turn it off with the key or power switch. It pedals just like a normal bike.
DOES THE CHARGER COME WITH THE ELECTRIC BIKE?
Yes. Each electric bike comes with a charger.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC BICYCLE?
It takes approximately 4 hrs for a full charge on an electric bike. However we recommend they are charged after each use for longer life.
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT FOR ELECTRIC BIKES?
The electric bike weight limit is 250 lbs for most bikes. With a heavier load, the electric bike should be pedal assisted more often and you should be careful to avoid bending the wheels ar braking spokes.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC BIKE?
It costs only pennies for a full electric bike charge. generally, we don't recommend running the battery completely dead. You should charge your electric bike battery after every use.
DO ELECTRIC BIKES POLLUTE?
There are no emissions from electric bikes. Of course, there are batteries that will have to be replaced every two to five years. these should be taken to a recycling depot in your city.
Electric bikes are extremely efficient and use less energy than other types of powered transportation. Because electric bikes can replace a car or gas scooter for many trips, especially to and from work, electric bikes are considered one of the greenest transportation choices.
HOW FAR CAN AN ELECTRIC BIKE GO?
It depends on several factors - terrain (hills, etc), wind, tire inflation, battery and motor size, weight of rider, riding style. Most of our electric bikes will easily get 20 to 30 miles. We have had customers get as high as 50 miles using pedal assist.
HOW OFTEN DO THE BATTERIES NEED TO BE REPLACED?
Lithium Batteries can last 3 to 5 years or longer if charged properly.
